Refund & Return Policy

Because many items from Leopold Woodworks are handmade to order or custom built, our refund and return policy is different from a standard retail store. Please review the policy below before placing your order.


1. All Custom Orders Are Final Sale

All custom orders, made-to-order items, and personalized pieces are final sale. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once production has begun.

A custom order officially begins once the 50% non-refundable deposit has been received and all project details have been approved, including dimensions, wood type, finish, and design direction.


2. Deposits for Custom Work

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin any custom project. This deposit covers time, planning, materials, and production scheduling.

Once a custom order has entered production, the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstance.


3. Ready-Made and In-Stock Items

Returns or exchanges for ready-made, non-custom items may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To be eligible, the item must be unused, in original condition, and you must contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Approval of any return request is at the sole discretion of Leopold Woodworks.


4. Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label so we can review the issue.

If the damage is confirmed, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion.


5. Natural Variation in Handmade Work

Because wood is a natural material and each piece is handmade, variations in grain, color, texture, and finish are normal and expected. These natural differences are part of the character of handmade work and are not considered defects.


6. Changes to Orders

Requested changes after an order is placed may not always be possible. If changes can be made, they may result in additional charges and may affect the production timeline.

Once production has begun, changes may be limited or unavailable.


7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Custom builds
  • Made-to-order items
  • Personalized or engraved pieces
  • Items altered at the customer’s request
  • Items showing signs of use, damage, or improper installation after delivery

8. Shipping Costs

Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If a return for an eligible non-custom item is approved, the customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise agreed in writing.


9. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved for an eligible non-custom item, it will be issued to the original payment method after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider.
